On September first , we celebrated an exciting milestone and anniversary: 2 years of wetlab operations at Picea Biosolutions.
Over the past 2 years, we have bootstrapped our way under the radar, building an industry-leading microorganism platform (Trichoderma reesei, Pichia pastoris, Bacillus subtilis) for enzyme expression and precision fermentation. High productivies are need to enable cost-parity of biosolutions with animal- or fossil-based industries.
Achievements during our first two years include:
– Growing to an incredible team of 20+ talented people
– Doubling our wet-lab operation space
– Achieving protein expression titers up to 100 g/L
As we look ahead, we are gearing up to push our products into the market.
